Lisa Friesen, executive director, and Lisa Jensen, nurse manager and West Union site director, attended the Knights of Columbus Travel Gavel event in Greene on June 16, where they accepted a generous gift on behalf of the organization.

The Floyd County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday were introduced to the new Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Floyd County Director.
“My name is Kailey Einspahr, and I am the new county director for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach for here in Floyd County,” she said. “So, I just started on May 4th, so almost two months that I've been here.”

Visitors at the city celebration had a chance to step back in time as the Nora Springs Historical Society opened its exhibit to display the community’s past.

RUDD — Classic cars, motorcycles, food and family-friendly activities will return to downtown Rudd this fall as the community hosts the fourth annual Rudd's Car and Motorcycle Show on Saturday, Sept. 5.
The event, held in conjunction with Rudd Fun Days, will take place on Main Street and is expected to attract vehicle enthusiasts and families from across Floyd County and surrounding communities.

The Nora Springs Public Library will offer a hands-on greeting card-making class on Thursday, July 30, with sessions available at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Participants will join instructors Char and Becky to learn a variety of greeting card techniques while creating five handmade cards to take home. All materials will be provided.

On Tuesday, June 23, the Floyd County Board of Supervisors approved an opioid funds request from Floyd County Public Health/Home Healthcare to purchase Verde Technologies Deterra Drug Deactivation pouches at a cost of $856.00.
